In the year 2000 - in their tiny Cackalacky Cottage kitchen in Chapel Hill, NC the founders set out on a mission to "create an extraordinary spiced condiment that is made with sweet potatoes and makes everyday food taste better." And, well, that's exactly what they did. At first, only friends and family got to enjoy it, but as word got around about our unique flavor creation, they began getting order requests and wholesale inquiries. It only made sense to take their zesty message on the road and so they began traveling relentlessly throughout the countryside - giving away FREE samples and spreading their zest everywhere they went. Cakclacky made lots of new friends and earned lots of nifty flavor awards along the way. And, ultimately, folks in the media started noticing what they were up to and started saying lots of really, really, nice things about them. The rest of their story is, as they say, history...
